Easy Party Centerpieces
We recently celebrated my daughter's high school graduation. She's off to college at the University of Arkansas (Woo Pig Sooie!). We had a party with a couple of her friends who will be attending different colleges. We wanted a way to celebrate all three graduates and made these fun and easy centerpieces highlighting their colleges. These can work well for any kind of event - family reunion, casual wedding, birthday party. You just need a few items and a little creativity.
We used some mason jars we found at Walmart, some crinkle cut colored paper shreds in the college colors, a little grosgrain ribbon for a bow and wood skewers.
You can use photographs or we found some images on the internet that we printed to attach to the skewers. We just cut a solid piece of construction paper a little larger than the image and glued it to the back of the image with the end of a wooden skewer between the papers. Stuff the crinkle paper into the jar, tie a ribbon around the top and insert the skewers. Done!
You can make this fancier with glitter inside the jar or little battery operated lights inside for a glowing effect. If you don't have pictures or printed images, you can use stickers mounted on the construction paper backing. These were a hit with our guests and so easy to make.
Party on!
